WHAT TO EXPECT

Located in our downtown Denver office, you will work very closely with the Senior Manager of Category Management and function as the Category Management expert in the Manager's absence. A successful candidate will contribute to the growth of Gates and its customers by increasing the volume of product sold, improving inventory accuracy, and increasing speed of inventory turnover. The position works independently, with the sales team and the customer to identify growth opportunities through optimized inventory assortments. The data is collected and analyzed using specialized tools, methods, and concepts. Final recommendations are presented to our customers and sales associates in order to create growth in all Gates product categories. The position also owns, develops and, maintains a series of specialized tools to provide complete and clear analytics.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work with the customer and Gates sales associates to collect data, prepare analysis and present recommendation for all Gates product categories.
  • Run analytical tools and procedures to create valid recommendations for customers that increase sales and improve inventory quality.
  • Take ownership of all internal and external reporting as it relates to the Category Management Initiative.
  • Meet overall sales targets for the Category Management Initiative.
  • Research and identify new methods and tools to support growth opportunities. Always looking for ways to automate and run data analysis efficiently.
  • Identify strategic and tactical implications of business directions and initiatives

ABOUT YOU
  • BA/BS in business or equivalent work experience (with at least progressively responsible positions demonstrating ability to handle the assignment)
  • 5 years combined experience using analytical and reporting tools - Alteryx, Tableau, SQL, Power BI, Oracle and/or functioning in a role that required analyzing large data sets and providing key insights from the data preferably in the Automotive Aftermarket Industry
  • 5 years of performance that illustrates having an aptitude for analytics and problem solving.
  • Automotive Aftermarket data and product knowledge preferred
  • Strong passion for serving the customer
  • Proactively integrates new business concepts and technology into the way business is done
  • Recognizes emerging trends and creates opportunities for learning and development for self and others
  • Assures that customer needs are addressed and managed in a manner aligned with Gates' objectives and strategies

BENEFITS
  • Salary Range: $95,000 - $110,000
  • Full-Time
  • Medical, Dental and Vision insurance: benefits begin on the first day of the month immediately following your date of hire
  • Eligible for 3 weeks of paid vacation + 11 holidays (9 scheduled & 2 floating) + 8 sick days
  • 401(k): 3% company contribution and additional 3% company match
