Purpose:
We are seeking a Field Service Engineer with a strong background in customer service and technical maintenance to join our Service Team.
This position is located in the Boulder Colorado office. We are focused on developing test and measurement equipment for cryogenic and quantum computing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Independent execution of preventive & corrective maintenance at the customer's site
  • Installation & commissioning of cryostat systems including final acceptance and release of complete products and assemblies according to test and acceptance regulations.
  • Preparation of commissioning protocols and acceptance reports
  • Technical training and instruction of customers
  • Troubleshooting and repair of our equipment both as telephone support and at the customer's site
  • Implementation and monitoring of technical escalations
  • Professional customer communication
  • Responsible for timely processing, documentation, and control of service calls and routine maintenance
  • Actively collaborate with other FormFactor departments - Engineering, R&D, Assembly - to ensure continuous improvement of products.
  • Regular participation in qualification measures
  • Adherence to all health and safety requirements both internally and during customer service calls
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • 3-5 years of applicable experience in a STEM field
  • Experience working with or within R&D environments and/or complex or high-tech manufacturing is a plus.
  • Industrial maintenance experience, cryogenic, or high vacuum experience is a plus.
  • Detailed-orientated work and strong problem-solving skills
  • Accuracy, punctuality, good team, and interpersonal skills
  • Organizational and planning skills
  • Good communication skills in English both verbally and in writing
  • Good knowledge of common MS Office applications
  • Willingness to travel required.
  • On-site position with mostly national, some international travel - up to 30%
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs unassisted.
The pay range for this role in Boulder, CO is between $77,000 and $101,010. The pay range may differ in other locations. FormFactor maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. Benefits offered for this role include: bonus target, medical, dental, vision, EAP, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, flexible spending and savings accounts, 401(k), ESPP and paid time off.
