Job Description

Juniper Networks provides strategic solution development, integration, and deployment services to our customers through the Professional Services organization. The Solution Consultant will work remotely and onsite with a customer, providing primarily post-sales delivery, and will deliver and own the success of all technical aspects of the customer deliverables. This role will have the technical and project experience to interface directly with sales and the customer to define the problem from the customer's perspective and will have the ability to design / validate complex network and/or automation solutions involving multiple technical disciplinaries.

Requirements:

  • Location/Remote: Boulder, CO
  • Report to federal team: US Citizen required.
  • Security Clearance Required: Top Secret
  • Will be remote/home office based; will be required to travel periodically to customer location based on requirements.
  • Highly technical role providing post-sales Engineering Design/Architecture, Operational, and Support of Juniper products within a customer infrastructure.
  • Ideal candidate will have 8+ years Network Engineering Design/Architecture, Operational, and Support experience in Service Provider, Enterprise, and Data Center network environments.
  • The candidate must have a detailed understanding of protocols used for IP networks and demonstratable technical expertise in the configuration, troubleshooting and operation of IP based routers, switches, and security devices.
  • Candidate will be flexible and comfortable working in multiple verticals/solutions: Apstra, Paragon, SD-WAN, WAN/LAN, DC and automation solutions.
  • Support: SSR, MX, EX, QFX and SRX
  • Travel: ~20% to 50% (based on project requirements)

Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of routing and switching protocols associated with IP networks: OSPF, IS-IS, ISIS-SR, BGP, MPLS, L3VPN, EVPN-VXLAN, multicast, associated tunneling technologies (GRE, IPsec, etc.), Class of Service (CoS), Filter-Based Forwarding (policy based static routing).
  • Experience with Automation Frameworks, Linux, Virtualization and Programming Languages.
  • Preferred Automation/orchestration skills: Python and Ansible (leveraging PyEZ), CI/CD workflows & NetDevOps, docker, Netbox, GitLab.
  • SD-WAN: 128T/SSR is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in a consultative manner to deliver switching, routing, security, and next-gen solutions in customer projects.
  • Ensure solution design meets the customer objective.
  • Technical delivery success, including assessment, design, test and validation, and implementation.
  • Follow the Juniper deal engagement and delivery processes, working closely with the Project Manager.
  • Work with Customer and Juniper's key technical resources to ensure technical alignment.
  • Personal on-site and/or remote delivery of Professional Services including creation of high level and detailed design documentation, migration planning, product integration and acceptance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the customers' technical teams.
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth technical and marketing knowledge of the Juniper Networks products.
  • Regular feedback of product requirements and performance to internal groups including engineering, consulting and product management.
  • Escalate project issues timely.
  • Project scoping efforts when required.
  • Engage with the technical community through industry events, web forums, and publications to share knowledge and evangelize Juniper's PS services and capabilities.
  • Build a reputation as a subject matter expert among their peers in the technology, products, solutions, and services.
  • When assigned, contribute to technical design of new service offerings.
  • Able to investigate, learn, and engage in projects with new technologies.
  • Provide training/mentoring to consultants/engineers.

Ideal Strengths:

  • MIST is a plus.
  • Paragon is a plus.
  • Understanding of network security, and STIG compliancy.
  • Certifications such as JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE, CCNP, CCIE a plus.

Minimum Salary: $118,976.00

Maximum Salary:$171,028.00

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $118,976.00 and $171,028.00/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Juniper's pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.
