What does a great Senior Architect II do?

The Travelport Airline IT Solutions organization supports multiple airline clients in multiple technologies. An ideal candidate for this role has a passion for the airline industry and can successfully design the right solution for the right airline product situation. Excellent communication skills are a must. Successful actions in this role will include collating large amounts of technical system performance data and uncovering opportunities of efficiency.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assume primary client-facing architecture role with a major Airline client
  • Oversee multiple airline products to ensure effective IT roadmaps are developed with subsequent successful deliveries to commitments
  • Assist in IT design of new methods to deliver products to airline customers, resulting in add-on revenue
  • Conduct analysis of IT system consumption to ensure cost optimization
  • Engage with and understand external customer business and technical domains, and how Travelport solutions can connect to, enhance, or enable existing and new customer solutions.

Who we are looking for in this role:

  • A strong communicator to collaborate with customers and cross functional teams
  • 10+ plus years of experience in IT solutions development, design and architecture specifically as it relates to direct engagements with customers - demonstrating excellence in consultancy skills
  • Excellent understanding of open systems & cloud-enabled architectures
  • Experience in mainframe technologies highly preferred - zOS, zTPF, MVS or other systems
  • Results-driven ability to deliver financial benefits through analysis and designed solutions
  • Solid understanding of security principles and tools to successfully maintain compliancy

Salary Target/Range: $150,000-$180,000

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
