This opportunity provides immediate high impact and high visibility within our Orbital Mission Services (OMS) business area with a focus on our Government customers.

Sierra Space is seeking a Contracts Administrator Level 3 with experience in full life cycle contract management beginning with industry day engagement and culminating in contract close-out. This position will be in direct support of Sierra Space OMS, a business area within our Applications Sector, the fastest growing element within Sierra Space. The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) and Agency specific clauses as well as a strong familiarity of all government contract types. The successful candidate must have a demonstrated ability to work with in a fast paced and dynamic environment. This role will require speed and discipline to ensure on-time delivery of all proposals, contractual deliverables, and internal data collection requirements. The ability to make decisions in a timely manner, offer guidance, work cooperatively with a multitude of organizations ranging from technical, program, finance, supply chain, export control, and security, and advise management of contractual rights and obligations are critical skillsets for this role. This role will be responsible for the administration of standard and non-standard contracts (e.g. Other Transaction Agreements, Commercial Non-Gov, etc.). The successful candidate must have the ability to support quick turn and complex proposal preparations, contract negotiations, contract administration, and customer engagement activities to provide for proper compliance with all contract acquisition, fulfillment and company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. The successful candidate will be crucial to building strong customer intimacy and employee engagement to assist with growing this important business area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess and develop a knowledgeable and working understanding of the US Government Acquisition and Procurement environment, commercial contracting methods (FAR Part 12 and non-Gov), and FAR/DFARS/Agency requirements

  • Ensure compliance with the Sierra Space Command Media and relevant company policies and procedures

  • Independently support proposal activities including, but not limited to, analysis of solicitations, preparing summaries, completion of compliance matrixes, and providing recommendations based on analysis with attention to the financial and business risks of each proposed effort

  • Assist with drafting the terms, conditions and assumptions upon which each proposal may be submitted, including the review of the technical and pricing proposals for accuracy and consistency

  • Review, negotiate, and execute Non-Disclosure Agreements and other agreements

  • Coordinate with other company functions to ensure appropriate reviews are conducted and obtaining required review and approval signatures prior to submittal of proposals or execution of contractual documents

  • Perform all aspects of assigned contract administration including, but not limited to, accuracy of order entry data, contract funding, scope changes, contract amendments, receipt and delivery schedules, legal requirement compliance and fulfillment of other commitments

  • Compile and maintain all required contractual records and documents in accordance with contract requirements, applicable law, and Company policies and procedures

  • In concert with the Contracts Manager(s), support Program Managers, IPT Leads, and Business Area leads and coordinate contracts advice and counsel to company management at all levels, as required

  • Support contract negotiations of a complex nature and in order to enable the organization to meet targeted profit rates as well as favorable terms and conditions

  • Administer a broad range of standard and nonstandard contracts

Minimum Qualifications:

  • An active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance is required

  • 4 Years, with related Bachelors degree

  • A higher-level degree may substitute for experience

  • Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of required education


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Government Contracts, specifically the DoD and IC, including but not limited to Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus, and Other Transactional Agreements

  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of duties set forth in job description above

  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing

  • Exhibit sound interpersonal skills when interfacing, coordinating, and advising with Sierra Space customers and internal stakeholders

  • Utilize computer skills to prepare appropriate reports and documents, must be skilled with Microsoft Office suite of applications

  • Proficient with classified operating systems and networks

  • Make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations

  • Reliability and high attention to detail

  • Knowledgeable about Intellectual Property and Data Rights

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

This position requires current/active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants. Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and illegal drug use.

Estimated Starting Salary Range:$91,154.71 - $125,337.72
