Responsible for efficiently repairing, servicing and maintenance of gas trucks, lifts, trailers, and small engines in the shop and field as needed.

• Perform routine maintenance on trucks, such as checking batteries and changing oil to ensure proper vehicle running.
• Inspect various parts of trucks, including brake systems, wheel bearings and steering mechanisms to ensure they are in the proper condition to operate effectively.
• Use different tools and equipment, such as pressure gauges, pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, screwdrivers, hoists, and jacks, to repair trucks while constantly utilizing safety precautions.
• Test Drive vehicles to ensure they are running properly and to find issues to determine what the solution will be.
• Completes work- orders accurately and records the work performed.
• Ensures that all parts, sublet labor, oil and other miscellaneous costs are included on the work-order.
• Stays current in all models of equipment used or operated by RoadSafe.
• Keeps assigned work area clean and organized.
• Works in compliance with established Safety policies and procedures.
• Be willing to work split shifts and occasional weekends.
• Be able to be on call for 1 week 24 / 7 out of the month for service calls.

Job Skills & Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must be comfortable with working awkward positions or cramped spaces preferred.
• Experience working with diagnostic computers.
• Prefer CDL License.
