Schmidt Construction, part of the Edw. C. Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Skid Loader Operator to work at our Castle Rock, CO location. The Skid Loader Operator is responsible for supporting the milling process by operating a skid loader to detail, move piles, lower manholes and water valves prior to milling.

Pay: $25-28

Shift: 7am-5pm

Responsibilities

The Skid Loader Operator will:

• Adhere to instructions provided by Mill Operators to address inaccessible areas overlooked by the mill.
• Maintain clear space both in front of and behind the mill by avoiding any accumulation of piles.
• Occasionally assist in guiding trucks during loading procedures.
• Be capable of shoveling materials when required.
• Contribute to end-of-day cleanup activities for the job site.
• Evaluate the work site and effectively communicate with the Mill Operator as necessary.
• Comply with all safety regulations, policies, and record-keeping
• Monitor any change in machine performance to identify potential malfunctions & report to the maintenance department
• Perform daily machine inspection and routine greasing, oiling, and fueling
• Meet customer service expectations

Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

• Prior skid loader experience and or the ability to learn through training the proper methods of safe skid loader operations
• A team and safety oriented mentality
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Basic Mechanical aptitude
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to perform other duties as assigned
• High school diploma or equivalent
