Overview

Waters ERA is currently seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented candidate to oversee Materials Management at our Golden, Colorado facility. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing production plans and actively managing production schedules for all ASR, ERA and PWC chemistry products. In addition, this position oversees purchasing, shipping and receiving, warehousing and inventory management, and materials distribution.

The Sr. Manager of Materials Management oversees all material requirements planning in alignment with the strategic goals and objectives of the business with the highest levels of integrity. They will collaborate with Commercial, Supply Planning and Production to create capacity constrained plans. They will ensure raw material availability and drive inventory management and materials distribution to ensure on-time and in-full fulfillment of customer demands.

This hands-on position requires dynamic leadership, excellent interpersonal skills, problem solving, critical thinking as well as a compelling initiative to see the organization succeed.

Responsibilities
    Lead the development and implementation of processes, procedures, and systems to execute master production schedule and material requirement plan.
  • Responsible for all facets of production schedules accounting for capacity and lead-time constraints and ensuring on-time delivery of product.
  • Maintain the flow of required raw materials to avoid disruptions in production while maintaining optimal stock levels.
  • Actively participate in the demand and supply planning process, analyze demand inputs to develop and control production to balance service and working capital.
  • Set up and maintain required master data in two ERP systems (SAP & Great Plains) to ensure proper execution of MRP. Work with IT and Global Supply Chain teams to develop and implement solutions for future ERP systems.
  • Act as part of site leadership team, in developing and executing overall site strategies to ensure business success.
  • Liaise with internal customers regularly to align on priorities, commitments, constraints, and recovery plans.
  • Lead initiatives to improve and optimize planning processes and systems resulting in enhanced supply delivery and efficient coordination of materials and resources used in manufacturing processes.
  • Implement inventory management strategies to optimize inventory levels and minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
  • Utilize inventory management systems to track inventory movements, monitor stock levels, and analyze inventory trends.
  • Develop the technical capability of the workforce and leadership through ongoing training and development.
  • Champion a physically and mentally safe environment for all employees and coworkers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Art or Bachelor of Science degree in related field required; Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years related experience in planning and inventory management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years prior management experience. Prior experience in manufacturing operations management highly desired.
  • Strong leadership skills, self-directed and the ability to make independent decisions and influence change.
  • Advanced proficiency with SAP or equivalent and Microsoft applications required.
  • Experience of ERP system implementation desired.
  • APICS CPIM certification or equivalent highly desired.
  • Experience with planning and executing manufacturing in SAP S/4 highly desired.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Proven track records in driving continuous improvement and operational excellence through lean manufacturing approaches.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and drive corrective actions.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015, 17025:2017, 17034:2016, 17043:2023, TNI standard is highly desired.
