Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
  • At least three years of experience in an accounting or finance related position.
  • Valid state drivers' license and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle to travel to field offices.
  • US citizenship required.
  • Ability to receive client's approval to work on contract required.
  • Must live in the US 3 of the last 5 years (military and study abroad included).
  • Expert knowledge of MS Excel software, including Vlookups and pivot tables.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles with the ability to apply to business transactions.
  • Analytical ability.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills with internal and external contacts at all levels.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize appropriately and meet deadlines.
  • Sense of urgency with the ability to respond quickly to internal and external customer requests.
  • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.

Responsibilities

Summary

Creates reports that provide an accurate picture of the financial position of product and departmental costs of the Electronic Monitoring (EM) group. Compiles and analyzes financial and other data as needed.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identifies financial issues and anomalies, investigates causes and communicates to management along with providing recommendations for improvement. Reviews reports to ensure accuracy, consistency, and validity of report data.
  • Manages ongoing cellular unit reconciliation at a macro level, working with internal and cellular carrier data. Analyzes macro cellular data lines activity for cost improvement.
  • Identifies and suggests software improvement to assist customers in locating equipment in correlation with the asset management system.
  • Analyzes customer profitability reports for areas of improvement in customer behavior.
  • Leads to match financial and operational data to maintain departmental KPI reports, focusing on maintaining volume independent comparisons for departments to manage expenses.
  • Leads new analysis into single unit cost models as new products grow in usage.
  • Compiles and analyzes data to prepare reports and forecast models. Will provide recommendations of revenue forecasts for senior level managers including maintaining forecasted revenue and expenses in budgeting/forecasting software.
  • Identifies and analyzes manufacturing cost and usage inefficiencies and helps develop, implement and drive cost reduction plans within the ERP system and process flow.
  • Prepares recommendations of budgeted costs to be used by Manufacturing Managers during the budgeting process. Reviews submitted Managers' budgets for reasonableness and makes recommendations for changes.
  • Gathers, analyzes, organizes and compiles data in response to requests from internal and external customers for ad hoc reports.
  • Acts as a liaison with customers and internal staff to determine reporting needs and communicates requirements for new reporting requests.
  • Performs other reporting and analysis as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
