Job Title: Sales & Training Executive - IT Cosmetics

Division: L'OREAL Luxe

Reports to: Regional Sales Director


Territory: Colorada, Utah, & Arizona. MUST BE BASED IN COLORADO.

What You Will Do:

This role is a true hands on Sell-Through position; must achieve and exceed retail sales plans in a designated territory, through account management, event execution and development of direct-reports (Sales & Training Coordinators), retailer associates and freelancers. Support brand initiatives through consistent and relevant training. Ensure all merchandising updates are executed and inventory levels are in place to support growth at store level. Brand Ambassador. Owner of the sales forecasting process by develop bottom-up sales and inventory plans, which are used to inform financial and inventory decisions inclusive of product mix, AUR, Sell-thru, and Markdown vs. Reg Selling (core vs. promo vs. launch)

Retail Sales and Account Management

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals for the total Sales and Training Executive Territory as assigned
  • Strong in-field presence; lead by example through selling and training
  • Oversight and execution of trainings, events, and brand initiatives within assigned territory
  • Take ownership of achieving goals and adjust strategy according to performance and achievement
  • Oversight of all major event planning and execution, leading the sales team
  • Achieve all new launch product sales goals
  • Participate in Digital Workstreams as assigned by RSD and Field Sales VP

Training

  • Ownership & oversight of all training efforts among Sales and Training Coordinators, retailer associates, management and freelancers
  • Inspire staff to sell the brand even when you are not in the store
  • Ensure that all selling staff have the ability to both understand the technical aspects of the brand and simply explain it to their customers
  • Oversight and execution of all market trainings seasonally (in-person and virtually) to introduce new launch products
  • Follow up post educational video viewing and conduct retention check
  • Track all trainings and complete all training documents in a timely manner
  • Participate in all EDU led training conference calls
  • Provide Regional Sales Directors and EDU Department with relevant feedback to improve results

Management

  • Manage and execute seasonal retailer strategy as presented by National Account teams
  • Direct management and development of Sales and Training Coordinator(s) assigned within total territory
  • Development and oversight of focus door and business driving strategies for total territory
  • Weekly review of business with Sales and Training Coordinator and store management to monitor goal progress. If necessary, coach on additional strategies to achieve sales goals.
  • Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly review of business results and team performance with Regional Sales Director
  • Start to finish planning and execution of events in total territory
  • Oversee all Randstad freelancer hiring, planning, scheduling and timecard submission & approval to ensure that budgets are adhered to and fully utilized in the proper timeframe
  • Regular review and monitoring of freelancer performance for total territory, making changes in personnel as necessary
  • Be present in stores a minimum of 4 days each week, with 1 office day per week
  • Schedule visits in direct report STC markets twice per quarter based on geography, accessibility and the needs of the market
  • Complete all reporting in a timely manner (expenses, sales reports, training recaps, etc.)
  • Develop call cycle/calendar by 15th of each month for the following month for the entire territory including Sales and Training Coordinator(s); share access to schedules with Regional Sales Director
  • Lead all quarterly District Manager meetings in total territory (in-person and virtual)

Communication

  • Communicate with Regional Sales Director at least once weekly with one 30-minute status call
  • Communicate with Sales and Training Coordinator(s) consistently throughout the business week
  • Communicate at least once monthly with all stores within territory to review objectives vs. performance
  • Communicate at least once weekly with Top 3 volume stores within territory when the business warrants
  • Inform the store team of all seasonal marketing activity (promotions, activations, launches and VM updates) well in advance to ensure proper set-up and preparation

Budgets

  • Manage and adhere to all freelance and travel budgets for the total territory as Regional Sales Director advises; ensure timely submission of all budgetary reports
  • Utilize company funds in a responsible manner and ensure strategic business use at all times

What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • BS/ High School Diploma required
  • 1 to 2 years of multi-door retail management experience required
  • Bachelor Degree and / or equal experience in the cosmetics industry preferred
  • Minimum 5 years sales experience, cosmetics experience preferred
  • Goal driven with an ability to multi-task
  • Must be creative and resourceful for events
  • Must be creative in training of product knowledge and motivation of daily/weekly objectives
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Enthusiastic, friendly, positive energy
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Prior experience as an Account Executive/Trainer; minimum of 3 years
  • Able to quantify performance of prior retail territory
  • Demonstrated retail growth YOY
  • Strong Presentation Skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to all audiences
  • Solid retail partnerships
