Job Description

IMA's Executive Risk Solutions (ERS) capability group is seeking an Account Executive to join our team! This position will be responsible for the marketing of new and renewal business for our ERS team. A successful applicant must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, be adaptable and flexible, strong problem solving and relationship building abilities. This role can be located out of our Denver, CO, Dallas, TX, Houston, TX, Overland Park, KS, or Wichita, KS office!

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for all IMA retail ERS engagement for both new and renewal placements for Management Liability (D&O, EPL, Fiduciary, Professional, E&O, Cyber, Crime and K&R)
  • Participate in RFPs, assess client needs and exposures, conduct marketing and placement, prepare proposals, adhere to IMA's ERS retail workflows, maintain positive carrier relationships, provide best in class coverage negotiations, and lead client meetings
  • Primary ownership of and responsibility for premium accounts of $30,000 to $100,000 regardless of product or industry
  • Responsible for geographically specific accounts (i.e., Denver associate, Denver clients) with few instances were covering orassisting of other ERS teams is requested
  • Take an active role in mentoring and technical training of other ERS associates, internal staff, and clients
  • Claims advocacy as needed on more complex claims
  • Read and understandthe components of a financial statement and interprets document
  • Read, understand, and articulatethe details of an organizational chart
  • Display significant technical expertise in Management Liability (D&O, EPL, Fiduciary, Professional, E&O, Cyber, Crime and K&R)
  • As requested, participates in the ClientX Process, including internal reviews, business reviews and various other stages and requests as needed
  • Minimal travel required
  • Support and demonstrate IMA's core values

Required skills and experiences:

  • 7+ years of experience in Executive Risk, Management Liability or other equivalent experience with broker, legal firm, claims, carrier, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Master's or Juris Doctorate preferred
  • Strong Math skills, including familiarity with ratios, percentages, discounts and commissions required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products required
  • Property and casualty license required for state of business and fulfills continuing education requirements to retain license
  • Moderate travel required

Salary Range
$106,000$160,000 USD
