Job Summary:

The Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Colorado School of Medicine is seeking applications for a full time Advanced Practice Provider (APP), preferably with experience in the care of immunocompromised hosts including transplant recipients and patients with hematological malignancies, who will be working regular business day hours Monday-Friday. This position will be based at the University of Colorado Hospital and will entail working primarily in the Infectious Disease Outpatient Clinic (ID Group Practice) but with the possibility to work in the inpatient setting based on needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Outpatient clinic evaluation including:

  • Pre-transplant evaluations
  • Transplant or general hospital/OPAT follow ups
  • Pre-travel evaluations
  • General ID evaluations and follow-ups

Inpatient service rounding as needed

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

  • Nurse practitioner or Physician Assistant training.
  • Eligible or licensed in Colorado.
  • Certified to see adults.
  • Two years or more of post training experience (a year-long hospitalist fellowship also satisfies this requirement)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent bedside manner and physical exam skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with other medical providers and disciplines.
  • General Internal Medicine knowledge base
  • Experience in the care of immunocompromised hosts (HIV, transplant, hematological malignancies)

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

$104,000 to $113,000

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
