The Division of Pediatric Surgery in the Department of Surgery at the University of Colorado School of Medicine has a full- time (1.0 FTE) faculty position available at an open rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. Within the Colorado Fetal Care Center responsibilities will include outpatient fetal consultation, fetal procedures to include myelomeningocele repair, fetoscopy, EXIT procedures, and ultrasound guided percutaneous procedures, and inpatient rounding. In addition to prenatal management, the CFCC is committed to promoting continuity of care postnatally for neonates delivered at the CFCC which includes neonatal surgery and long-term management. This position includes inpatient and outpatient medical care services, and resident training for general Pediatric Surgery Children's Hospital Colorado (CHCO)), Denver Health, St. Joseph's Medical Center, as well as other local campuses and Colorado Springs. The position is expected to perform 50% clinical FTE as a Pediatric Surgeon and 50% as a Fetal Surgeon. The candidate will be expected to provide independent clinical services, supervise advance practice providers (APPs) in the provision of independent clinical services for patients, as well as teach and supervise residents and fellows. These duties will include inpatient and outpatient clinical services, as well as inpatient and outpatient surgeries at CHCO and its affiliated practice locations. Professional Field Pediatric Surgery Fetal Surgery Examples of Work Performed The candidate will be expected to provide independent clinical services primarily for the Pediatric Surgical Service at Children's Hospital Colorado (CHCO). Duties will include primarily coordination of care of the following inpatient teams and outpatient clinics: Pediatric Surgery and Fetal Surgery. The open rank surgeon will participate in the Division of Pediatric Surgery's Network of Care, which includes coverage responsibilities at our North Campus, South Campus, Denver Health, St. Joseph's, and Colorado Springs. The position will be primarily based at the Children's Hospital Colorado (CHCO) and the Colorado Fetal Care Center (CFCC) at the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO. Supervision Received The open rank surgeon reports to the Division Chief. Supervision Exercised The open rank surgeon will provide direct clinical instruction to Advanced Practice Professionals, fellows, residents, and nurses. The open rank surgeon will educate and hold clinic providers accountable for adherence to CHCO practice, operational, and behavioral standards. |

Anticipated Pay Range: |
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE: Assistant Professor: $400,000 to $535,000, plus productivity incentives Associate Professor: $500,000 to $620,000, plus productivity incentives Professor: $530,000 to $735,000, plus productivity incentives The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
