Overall Description of Responsibility or Nature of Work:
This position reports directly to Tem Morrison, Professor in the Department of Immunology and Microbiology, and is responsible for performing the research summarized below. This position may supervise the work of graduate students and technicians.
This position is for a PhD post-doctoral researcher with experience in molecular virology, cell biology, and mouse models of infection. The position is fully funded for three years by an NIH Antiviral Drug Discovery Center (AViDD) for Pathogens of Pandemic Concern. The main objective is to develop orally available antivirals against acute and chronic alphavirus infection and disease. The proposed training will be conducted at the state-of-the-art University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in beautiful Denver, Colorado
The project and environment will provided an intensive training experience, numerous opportunities to interact and network with multi-institutional AViDD teams, and ultimately provide for transition into a successful independent investigator in academia or industry. All of the duties listed below are to achieve this goal in specific categories.

The salary range (or hiring range) has been established at $54,840-$55,632
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
