In this role, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the Process Automation (PA) Talent & Learning strategy to ensure that the skills and knowledge of employees meet the organization's current and future needs. Ensure collaboration with Divisions and adaptation to the constantly changing business environment and within budget and corporate guidelines. This position will engage with HR Business Partners, Business Leaders, and Development team - Corporate to ensure alignment with ABB Group values, guardrails, and best practices.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Process Automation Talent & Learning strategy and global PA programs, policies, services, etc. into actions for the assigned region in line with business requirements.
  • Partner with the Divisions and the HR leaders to drive HR solutions for the business both pragmatically and holistically
  • Lead the definition, design, and deployment of global organization development programs for the assigned region.
  • Review the impact, performance, and cost of all programs (internal and external) and monitor & review vendors' effectiveness periodically. Take necessary actions to ensure effective utilization of resources and improvement of the learning portfolio
  • Proactively identify learning needs on the geography level based on business requirements in partnership with the responsible HRBP, and implement, reporting experiences and learnings to the Global Talent and Learning team.
  • Manage roll-out and execution of the Talent & Learning programs and processes, in line with the agreed calendar, including program launch, monitoring quality and compliance, and ensuring full and timely completion before developing and recommending ongoing improvements.
  • Leverage the existing Leadership learning ecosystem and maximize the usage of the platform across the region. Support business leaders with relevant pathways and plans. Collaborate with the Corporate People development team for design support to meet business-specific learning needs.
  • Deliver Learning programs to support the business strategy: e. g. competency development, skill building, and organizational effectiveness. Work with the corporate learning pyramid to maximize impact and where needed design and deliver learning solutions to meet specific business needs (excluding corporate pyramidal programs) including learning needs assessment, learning plans, learning methods, and solutions (on-the-job, classroom, and online) and ROI/KPI for the solutions.
  • Define the operating model for assigned talent and learning programs and delivery including make vs. buy decisions, provider management, program design, implementation, and review/evaluation. Maintain the training catalog in collaboration with Corporate Talent and Learning.
  • Ensure that all Learning related data (e.g., nominations, participations) is up to date in the relevant systems and platforms (LMS). Liaise frequently with the associated system's partners (esp.HR Services, IS, external providers) to collaborate on system optimizations, change requests, and possible harmonization. Uses Learning metrics to guide business and talent strategy and operations decision-making. Measures effectiveness of Learning solutions to drive continual improvement.
  • Build strategic partnerships and relationships with third parties: universities, consultants, coaches, etc. to complement and enable the business strategy when required.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement by applying analytic skills to ensure efficiency and improved business impact.
  • Maintain an oversight of cost and vendors across the region to ensure optimized utilization of resources/ partners.
  • Establish partnerships with a wide network of colleagues to ensure the implementation of best practices and the optimal use of resources. Build productive relationships at all levels and in all parts of the HR functions.
Your background

  • Bachelor's degree required and a Master's Degree preferred
  • Professional with 5-10 years of experience in HR with a focus and passion on talent management and Learning Development in complex settings, across multiple geographies and business areas and with a connection in a Shared Service environment
  • Experience with the implementation of talent & learning initiatives in a global environment and working across multiple geographies and within a virtual team
  • Resilience and ability to work with ambiguity and changing set of circumstances and issues
  • Distinctive influencing skills
  • Excellent relationship-building ability across stakeholders with a collaborative approach.
  • Self-driven, energetic, enthusiastic, and inclusive; creating or responding constructively to challenging new ideas and inputs.
  • Fluency in English
