Job Description
We are seeking a Legal Assistant to join the Trademark Group in our Denver office. As a valued team member, you will provide legal administrative support in a dynamic Trademark Group. Are you detail oriented with strong communication skills? Do you deftly handle multiple tasks at a time? Are you client service focused? If so, we would appreciate hearing from you.

In this role, you will:

- Provide administrative and legal support to partners, associates, and paralegals.
- Create, revise, finalize, and send out correspondence.
- Monitor calendar and email for attorneys; provide management of files and client contact databases.
- Assist with reviewing the daily docket and coordinating with attorneys and paralegals on upcoming dates and deadlines for filings, etc.
- Assist with time entries for tracking of attorneys' and paralegals' billable hours.
- Assist with the review of proformas and billing process.
- Maintain client and docket files; work with document management system, docket system and U.S. Patent and Trademark Office records.
- Submit new client matter request forms for new matters being opened.
- Provide backup support to other legal assistants as needed.
- May be requested to perform other duties not mentioned above.

What we're looking for:

- High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 4 years of legal assistant experience.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.
- Strong customer service focus and skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and perform well in stressful situations.
- Ability to use good judgment in solving problems and resolving conflict.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to prioritize work and flexibility with schedule (overtime may be required).

Preferred:

- Familiarity with rules and procedures of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
- Trademark legal assistant experience.
- Familiarity with Foundation IP.

The pay range for this position in Colorado only is $29.00 to $45.00 per hour.

This range represents Dorsey's good faith estimate of likely compensation at the time of posting. Actual pay will be dependent upon a number of factors, including the candidate's experience, qualifications, skills and location and may fall outside of the range indicated.
